Reality of Education

Martin Luther king Jr. once said "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."

Trying to understand why things work and using the wits from them to create innovations and generating new ideas is the reality of Education. One of the reason everything is wrong with our system is because we don't try to practicalize what we learn but we just want to bask great grades. What is the usefulness of getting A(s), first class and distinction when you can't create anything or generate ideas that corelate with your discipline?
