Compete against yourself

The rule of nature according to how we know it is COMPETITION. Praises and worship to the victor and nothing for the vanquished. We all like the lion because it is big and strong but we don't like the antelope because it happens to be a weakling.

In every aspect of our lives we face competition. Every day we face it from when we wake up in the morning to when we climb our bed to sleep.
We wake up to compete against time, to do what we ought to do.

Nature is so design in a way that almost everything comes by competing. From the sea to the sky, to the land competition flows everywhere.
Now what do we say about competing with each other?
Competing against a fellow or some people is okay but I don't find it appealing.

In competition with someone you will close your vision away from other threat and face one.
Yes, Sandra is always at the pole position in class and now you start thinking on how to beat her.

Why?
You must have a reason for competing against someone or for something.
Is that reason noble? Or you just want to compete because it taste good to beat them.

A sport man may compete against his fellows but a great one doesn't compete against his fellows, he compete against himself, he tries hard to outwit his former ability and claim the glory.
You do the same! Compete against your mediocrity!
I compete against myself rather than compete with people.
I compete to beat my last score, my previous ability and strive to create a new record for myself.
I compete against myself and leave the rest to compete against me!
