9 WAYS TO BEAT YOUR INNER CRITIC 




1. Develop an awareness of your thoughts:

Create level of consciousness for your daily thoughts. Learn and understand those that shut you up and those that keep you going

2. Stop ruminating on mistakes:

Stop thinking and meditating on thoughts that shut your creativity up.

3. Ask yourself what advice you'd give to a friend:

Sit down, get yourself a water, relax and then ask yourself what advice will you give to a friend who ask you the questions your inner critic is asking you.

4. Write a list of qualities others like about you: 

Sit yourself down and ruminate about those superb qualities has said about you, they would shut up your inner critic.
I do that too, at times when I don't have anything to write, I always pick read comments on my stories and the encouragement they keep me going.

5. End every negative thought with a positive one:

You can't live without those ugly, pessimistic thoughts but you must always end it with a positive one.

6. Find one thing each day to reward yourself 

Each day you beat your inner critic at it game, reward yourself with some thing good, it gives you the strength to fight it the next day

7. Drown your inner critic with cool music:

Music they say is for the soul. Whenever your inner critic pick up it microphone to speak, just raise the volume of your song.

8. Stop trying to do much:

We fail at times because we always try to do everything at a time. Thus we give our inner critic a weapon wrapped in our own parcel.

9. Stop comparing yourself to others:

You're not "Josh" and "Abigail isn't you. You're yourself, don't try to be your friend, not even your role model, try to be yourself.
