GREATNESS

GREATNESS
This write-up is a very deep and an extensive one but I will try my best to rise above the surface a little.
Greatness is a concept of a state of superiority affecting a person or object in a particular place or area. It can also be referred to individuals who possess a natural ability to be better than all others. It is a term used for something beyond the ordinary.
Naturally, God was the first person to exhibit the greatness. He is the greatest of all gods and His greatness is incomparable and unsearchable (Psalm 145:3). The bible affirms that in Ephesians 1:19, Deuteronomy 10:17 and Psalm 66:3. So, firstly, let this sink into your medulla that for you be great, you must be have an encounter with the God of the greatest which is Lord Jesus Christ and very other attributes would surely follow.
Bob Marley once stated that ‘greatness of a man is not how much wealth he acquires, but his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively’ which simply means greatness isn’t measured with the amount of money in your bank account, your fame, your connection but your ability to change your society for the better.
There are some good habits that one must maintain if he/she wants to be great in life;
You must be goal oriented. You need to be a habitual goal setter, and dedicate yourself to working from clear, written goals every day of your life.  All highly successful people are intensely goal oriented. They know exactly what they want, they have it written down, they have written plans to accomplish it, and they both review and work on their plans every single day.
Taking action continually. You must not just be goal oriented. You need to overcome procrastination, push aside your fears and launch 100% toward the achievement of your most important goals.
You must be result driven. You must be a result driven goal setter. Firstly, you must practice continuously so that you become better at what you do. Secondly, you must always manage your time. This means setting very clear priorities on what you do and then concentrating single-mindedly on the most valuable use of your time.
You must be relationship/people oriented. As Aristotle said, the only way that you can learn any habit is by practicing it on a regular basis. The more you practice being a truly excellent person in your relationships with God and others, the more you will internalize those qualities and actually become that person. It’s also being said that two heads are better than one. So, learn how to put relationship in the center of your life.
You must be honest. Honesty means that you practice the “reality principle” in everything you do.  You are completely objective with yourself and with the world around you.  You set very clear values for yourself and you organize yourself around your values.  You develop a vision for yourself and then you live your life consistent with your highest ideals.  You never compromise your integrity or peace of mind for anyone or anything.
You must also be self-disciplined. Your ability to discipline yourself, to master yourself, to control yourself, is the most important single quality that you can develop as a person of greatness.
You are where you are and what you are today because of your habits.  Your habits have been developing, mostly accidentally, from the time you were an infant till this present moment, so, you must work tirelessly on your habitual ways of doing things, and then, greatness is very certain for you.
With finality, God must be your source of greatness. You must be determined, passionate and focused with your goals and take action towards your dream.
